What can those of us who can’t purchase alcohol use instead of wine?

Excellent channels guys, it’s 10am and fukcing hungry already. I’ve had the pleasure of making this soup with ‘French Onions’ available at the Farmers market in a German town I used to live in. Fantastic. I am going to try this with my homemade chicken stock, and why not of red onions? French onions are quite mild and delicate in comparison to their red/white cousins. In general though I’ve heard red onions are better for soups. Any how good work, I am going for an early lunch!

I don’t know (I’m not a pro, or something xD) but the alcohol vaporises when you reach the boiling point…so there’s no alcohol left in the end.

Nothing works for me when cutting onions. It must be a psychological thing for me. LOL.

@mikenike504 try to keep some water in your mouth while you chop them. I know, it’s ridiculous. but it actually works with me… :)

LOL. That is pretty funny, but I will try that next time. Thanks for the tip, solangepolegar.
