So my boyfriend has gout, and has to go on a special diet (basically vegetarian) and I don’t even know where to start! We’re meat and potatoes people, on a pretty tight budget. Can anyone recommend a good place to find vegetarian recipes that won’t totally trash my budget AND still taste good?

People with gout often are directed to leave alone broccoli, eat plenty of fruit, and have plenty of carrots. Bananas are good. I had gout in my toes a sharp pain for no apparent reason. It felt like someone was putting a needle in my toes.
Who knows maybe some voodist was doing that! Well I got rid of it my taking Scullcap tea and Dandelion tea together!
As long as I take those regular I don’t get those sharp pains but if I don’t take any of those teas in a weeks time the sharp pain comes back. Both teas are necessary. It doesn’t work with just one of these teas. One needs both to get rid of gout!
My sister has it in her wrists. She’s now using these teas too and she says it works for her too! Whether it works for everyone that gets gout remains to be seen!
Websites such as
http://www.allrecipes.com
and
http://www.recipezaar.com
are great for free recipes. They have all different things catergorised.
For gout, stay away from red wine and pork. Some fish too, like prawns.
Hope that helps.
Why would he have to go vegetarian? The culprit with gout is food with a high purin count which include beef, shellfish, and alcohol Some vegetables also cause gout like peas and beans. You can use chicken, pork, lamb, fish. Every food will not affect the gout equally and some not at all. A lot depends on how his body processes the different foods and the quantity eaten. Trial and error is your best bet to see what ones will be detrimental and then stay away from those.
my dad used to have gout and keep away from all foods , ever since he started drinking this health drink , his gout recovered and back to normal eating habits , no need for special diet or avoid any foods, and stop on medicitation after 1 week and continue drinking it till now, i got this through a blogger site and contacted the blogger whom provided me with more information on the all natural drink
